Hello my loves! I hope you’re all well. So, after seeing how many of you liked my last ‘let’s get serious’ blog post and how much I enjoyed writing it, I have decided I am going to do a series of ‘let’s get serious’ posts.
Today’s topic will be about feeling low/demotivated. It’s so easy to feel sad about the little things that upset us in life. Sometimes you can feel extremely demotivated and feel as though life is difficult. Well, it’s true. It is difficult. But that does not change the fact that you are beyond blessed with many things to be grateful for. If you are reading this post, you have access to the Internet which already means you have a luxury in life some people don’t even know exists!
Don’t get me wrong guys, I’m not writing a post to lecture you all about happiness and appreciation because like all of you, I don’t always feel happy and I am not always appreciative. I am human and so are you. We feel sad, demotivated, angry, frustrated and depressed sometimes. And it’s all completely normal! It’s okay to feel these things. But it’s also important to know and understand that there will always be ups and downs in life. They are there for a reason. If everything went well and as you wanted it to all the time, how would you know what you feel? All you would feel is happiness and the feeling of sadness/demotivation would be left undiscovered by you. This would mean that you wouldn’t even know what happiness is! Consistently only feeling happiness would mean that it would become your normal, everyday feeling. Which in my opinion, is worse than feeling unhappy.
Life works a certain way for a reason, happiness and sadness comes our way for a reason. The bad times make you appreciate the good times when they come. And it’s your sadness which allows you to realise your feelings of happiness when they come.
Look up at the sky or just outside your window, there’s such a big world out there. It’s beautiful and filled with so many people. Some less fortunate than us. Our problems are so little in comparison to how big the world is. Chill out. Don’t stress. Let life take its course and everything will be okay. Work hard and follow your dreams. You can achieve anything you want. You’ve just got to set your mind to it.
