Hello my loves! Apologies for how inactive I have been on my blog recently. I’ve been super busy but I am planning to get back into things and start blogging more regularly and (hopefully) YouTubing as well!
Today’s post will just be a super quick review on the new L’Oréal infallible total cover foundation. So, after seeing so many videos and reviews on it I really wanted to try this new foundation. I don’t know if anyone has noticed on the details of my Instagram posts but in terms of drugstore brands, my favourites are most definitely L’Oréal and Maybelline. They truly are the best overall drugstore brands in the market.
I tried this foundation out yesterday for my new Instagram look and wore it for around 10 hours. I’ve listed a breakdown of my thoughts on it below.
Suitable skin types:
Because the foundation is quite matte I think for Dry/Normal skin you can wear it without any/little setting powder and it should work fine. (You can make it look more glowy by adding some highlight. Or a lot of highlight. The glow can never be enough!)
For oily skin it will most definitely suit you but you will need to put some setting powder on depending on how oily your skin is.
Full but you can apply less to make it a medium coverage foundation.
Lasting power: The foundation still looked great even after the 10 hour wear but did slightly come off my nose area.
I think the shades are pretty good. I found that when I first swatched it on my hand the foundation looked more pink-orange but once I let it stay for a few minutes it changed colour slightly and turned into a more yellow-toned foundation. I have used the shade 21 – Golden Sand but I think it’s a little too light for me. I think shade 21 and 24 mixed together would make the perfect shade for me as 24 was a little too dark. But definitely go and check it out in store before you guys purchase it because foundation shades can be tricky!
Overall this foundation was definitely worth the buy and the price! It retails at £9.99 and Superdrug currently have a promotional price of £7.99. It has good coverage and isn’t too drying on the skin. It gives a smooth and equal finish to the skin which I love!
So that’s all for today, I hope you guys got some insight to my thoughts on the foundation. If any of you have any questions/comments feel free to put them in the comments section and I will get back to you.
